Following the Provincial Election on Monday, we were pleased to welcome Danielle Klooster back to work last week.

Almost at the same time as Danielle was returning to work a great opportunity opened up in one of the enterprises that is attached to the Chamber, Central Alberta: Access Prosperity. Danielle decided to pursue that opportunity and has started a new position as Business Retention, Expansion and Investment Officer for Access Prosperity.

“The opportunity just arose and I thought I was ready for a new adventure,” said Danielle.

We believe that Danielle will be able to have a great impact on the work of Access Prosperity as well as developing further her existing skills in economic development.

In the course of just under four years with us, Danielle has made a remarkable contribution to the development of Communications, Policy and Advocacy at the Red Deer Chamber. Her organizational skills combined by her ability to support and motivate our volunteers has seen the generation of an unprecedented amount of relevant policy that has been successfully advocated at municipal, provincial and federal levels of government. Our communications have embraced the best of social media and her training courses in social media, introduced this year, have been a great success. Danielle has been a key member of the team that has elevated the position of the Chamber and enhanced our reputation for excellence.

So, it was welcome back to the Chamber, and is now goodbye and thanks for all your hard work and hello and welcome to your new role in Access Prosperity; all in one week! We wish Danielle every success in the future.
