The Finance and Enterprise Policy Committee will explore policy regarding tax structures and taxation issues, government budgets, banking and financial services, the flow of commerce and trade, economic development, business retention and expansion, crime and crime prevention, global economic issues and international markets.
This committee will meet on a monthly basis, on the first Thursday of the month, and follow a process that begins with identifying gaps in legislation, emerging issues and hot buttons affecting business. Committees will engage in discussions with experts, conduct research and develop consensus around policy recommendations. They will write policy and submit it to the Chamber Board of Directors for approval.
The first meeting of this committee is set for Thursday, September 8th at 2pm, in the JA Board Room, at the Chamber. Terms of Reference and Meeting Agenda will be sent to committee members prior to this date.
