Policy & Advocacy

Policy Committees

Chamber policy and advocacy activities are guided by business leaders and grassroot members that assists us in identifying important issues and challenges we need to address with policy makers.

Policy

The Red Deer & District Chamber of Commerce advocates on behalf of our members to positively influence decisions made at all levels of government.

Advocacy begins with our members through face to face communication, surveys, and other policy engagement opportunities. We identify the issues that restrain business growth and work to create solutions to bring forward to government. We also work to bring awareness to issues facing the local business community.

We work closely with our partners at the Alberta Chambers of Commerce and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce to advocate on issues provincial or national in scope.

Real Estate Investment Trusts have the potential to increase liquidity of farmland and create a robust rental market while maintaining arable land for agricultural purposes.

Provincial Issues

We work closely with our provincial counterparts to advocate on the issues impacting our members. For a full list of positions advocated by the Alberta Chambers visit their website
