Creedon, Tim

Bio:  Tim Creedon arrived in Canada with his family in 2001, and launched Creedon and Associates, a management consulting business that consolidated three decades of management success in Britain. Operating in Central Alberta, Tim knew the networking and business development opportunities the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce offered would be invaluable. After becoming a member, he immersed himself in the organization as an Ambassador. In 2005, as Chair of the Ambassador Steering Committee, he was appointed to the Board of Directors, a role he continued after being elected to the Board in 2006. Business pursuits then took Tim out of Central Alberta, but not for long. He welcomed the opportunity to return in 2008 as the Chamber’s Executive Director, and to assist the Board in achieving their vision of an organization dedicated to member success.

More, Rick

Position: Manager - Membership & Community Relations

Bio:  Rick was born and raised in Red Deer and is married with 4 children. He enjoyed long term employment with Canada Safeway (20 years) and before coming to the Chamber owned and operated businesses for 8 years. Entrepreneurship has been a great asset in dealing with business people who are members of the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce under his tenure as membership manager. Rick was a member of the Downtown Rotary Club for 21 years. Board positions include Central Alberta Women's OutReach, CNIB capital fund raising, CNIB advisory Committee,  Downtown Rotary club and recently appointed to the regional board of the Alberta Motor Association. He was also a director in the successful Scott Tournament of Hearts in 2004 and bid committee/ director for the 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts held at the Westerner in Red Deer. In his spare time, golf and competitive curling keep him busy.

Gunderman, Sandra

Position: Accounting Manager

Bio: Central Alberta has always been home to Sandra, from her family farm between Rocky Mountain House and Caroline to her current home in Red Deer. Sandra came to Red Deer College in 1989. While continuing her education at the U of A, Faculty of Extension in municipal studies, she worked for the Town of Blackfalds . As a member of the municipal staff for sixteen years in total, she served as Director of Corporate Services for the last nine years of her tenure, before joining the Red Deer Chamber staff in July of 2008. Sandra, husband Doug, their son Tyler and their dog Winston live in Red Deer, where they enjoy riding their horses, camping, spending time with family and friends, being physically active as well as active in the community.

Knudson, Lindsey

Position: Marketing Manager

Bio:  Lindsey is a hometown girl, born and raised in Red Deer. After graduating from Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School in 2002, Lindsey went on to Red Deer College and received her Business Administration Diploma in Marketing. She pursued and received her Bachelor of Management Degree in Marketing at the University of Lethbridge. Lindsey has been with the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce since September of 2008. She is passionate about being involved within her community and was been involved with the Biggest Tree Festival from 2008-2011, a director for the 2012 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, and currently sits on the Tourism Red Deer Board of Directors. Lindsey, her husband Chad and their cat Scarlet live in Red Deer. Lindsey enjoys running, baking and cooking in her leisure time.

Cronin, Lorna

Position: Executive Assistant

Bio:  Lorna is a long-time resident of Central Alberta. She assists the public, non-member businesses, members businesses and chamber volunteers with direction on Chamber information and services, and general inquiries on Red Deer and area. Lorna also provides administrative support to the Chamber Executive Director, the Board of Directors and the staff. She is the contact person for renting the Chamber boardroom, Chamber document certification (ie. Certificates of Origin) and more. Lorna looks forward to all of your calls and inquiries.

Hanlan, Shelley

Position: Events Coordinator

Bio:  Shelley's roots run deep here in Alberta, a prairie girl at heart, she hails from Edmonton. Coming to the Central Alberta area to further her education at Red Deer College. Since then she has experienced many diverse adventures, both professionally and personally. Shelley joined the Chamber in the fall of 2008 and she has been able to put her education and experience to work. Shelley enjoys competing in triathlons, travelling and cooking.

Kennedy, Pat

Position: Event Manager, Agri-Trade

Bio:  Patrick has maintained a keen and active interest in Red Deer and the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce since 1981. Over the years, Patrick has worked with the Red Deer Chamber on many events including the World of Women show www.worldofwomenshow.com and other business and consumer related events. Principals of Kennedy Communication Services Ltd., Patrick and his wife and partner Sherall Kennedy enjoy a close and productive working relationship with Chamber management and staff. Specializing in staging events at Westerner Park, Pat and Sherall also enjoy a close working relationship with management and staff there. Originally developed as an agricultural marketing and promotional service, the company has grown and diversified to be involved with a wide range of agricultural and non-ag projects. Patrick maintains an office in the Red Deer Chamber facility and can be contacted there.

Seib, Jonathan

Position: Policy Coordinator

Bio:Jonathan is a newcomer to Red Deer but not to Alberta as a whole. Born in Lloydminster, he grew up in Calgary and later lived in Medicine Hat. Having completed Bachelors degrees in Economics and Political Science, he sojourned beyond Alberta briefly to complete his Master’s degree in International Public Policy (MIPP) at Wilfrid Laurier University. Since then, he has worked with the Medicine Hat Chamber’s advocacy efforts and is excited for new challenges and opportunities now in Central Alberta. He has a desire to work with governments to create an economic environment in which business can thrive.  Jonathan enjoys making music on a variety of instruments and volunteering his time as a youth worker.
 

Smirl, Dianne

Position: Event Manager - Designate, Agri-Trade

Bio: Dianne is returning to her Prairie roots and returns to Alberta for Agri-Trade.  Born and raised on a farm in Southern Manitoba, she spent two years living in Alberta before the event world took her to destinations around the globe.  Dianne’s educational background includes Diplomas in Business Administration, Event Marketing and Public Relations.  With over twenty years of Event and Trade Show experience she is looking forward to working with Agri-Trade to keep it as the pre-eminent Agricultural Equipment showcase in Western Canada.  Dianne enjoys training and competing in half marathons (walking) across Canada.
