Membership Manager, Red Deer District Chamber
Are you a dynamic relationship builder with a passion for sales, member retention, and driving business growth? The Red Deer District Chamber is seeking a Membership Manager to join our team and champion the success of our business community.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this is a sales-driven role where relationship-building, attention to detail, and database management are critical. Using the Chamber’s CRM, you’ll ensure member records are up to date, track member engagement, manage leads, and ensure consistent follow-up. Your work will directly support the Chamber’s long-term growth strategy while fostering a strong, connected business community.
As Membership Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in growing and retaining our membership base. You will lead membership growth and engagement efforts, strengthen relationships with existing members, recruit new businesses, and ensure every member experiences exceptional value.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive membership growth and retention through proactive outreach, onboarding, and relationship management.
- Manage and optimize the Chamber’s CRM system to track activity, generate reports, and manage prospects.
- Act as the first point of contact for membership inquiries, benefits, and affinity programs.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to deliver seamless member services and impactful events.
- Support marketing campaigns and Chamber initiatives that promote membership value.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $68,000 – $83,000 annually, based on experience.
- Comprehensive benefits package supporting health, wellness, and work-life balance.
- Opportunity to participate in a bonus structure tied to performance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in sales, business development, or customer service, with proven success in client retention.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to connect with diverse individuals and businesses.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with experience in CRM/database management.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and goal-driven, while also a collaborative team player.
